Frequently Asked Questions

How do I play the game?

Dracknoir's Revenge is a browser based game. First, create an account on Dracknoirs Revenge. Once you are logged in, you can wander around and explore the world. Don't forget to read the cheat sheet and the rest of these FAQ's.

Movement:
Utilize a swipe, arrow keys, WASD keys or even the direction arrows to move your character around the world. There is no limit on movement.

Doors:
If a door is closed, you can move toward the door to open it. If the door does not open, you may not be able to gain access to that area. Houses that are owned have doors that are locked. Only your clan members can enter your house.

Day/Night:
This work, much like most, has a day and night component. Use a torch, cast light spell, or stay within the city to light your way at night. Players level 10 and below don't experience true night, just to get them going.

Shops:
There are shops all over the place in cities. Different shops offer different things. Goods and services include armor, healing, learning spells/skills and even changing the look of your character!

Sleeping/Eating/Regenerating your stats:
How do you restore your stats? Sleeping is a quick and easy way to recover your stats. Did the notification tab tell you your hungry? Eat or drink something. You do not regenerate stats easily when you are hungry. Maximize the regeneration of your character by sleeping at the Monks shop! The Monks will grant you hourly regeneration, as well as ondemand paid regeneration!

Levels:
Explore all you want, but to gain levels, you must fight! Attack anything you want, even other players, but be aware of what you are strong enough to face. Ants are a good place to start.

Jail and Bounties:
So you want to attack someone. Be aware that if they are much weaker than you, you will go to jail. Also if you fight in a city and a Guard sees you, you are going to jail. Bounties are sort of the exception. You can attack and try to collect the bounty on anyone who has a bounty.

Smaller screens may have a bit of a difficult time, but we are always working to improve the user experience.

What happened to the lights?

This world, much like most worlds has day and night. At the top right of the screen shows you the position of the sun and moon. At the bottom right of the screen you will see quick click icons. One icon is a torch. Use a torch, a spell, or stay in a city to light your way at night.

First off, you are going to die. This world is tough. When you die, you don't suffer any loss of gear, but you do lose a bit of experience and any coins you are currently carrying. You can immediately log back in after death to continue playing the same character. Bank your coins to protect them!

I'm Hungry - I'm Thirsty

Go get a burrito and a... oh, you mean your charatcer? When you are hungry or thirsty, you do not recover your stats as quickly. To remedy this, eat a ration, drink a canteen or even an ale! You will find Mobs dropping these, as well as spells to create them, and merchants who sell them. Be aware you can only carry so much!

Why talk to NPCs?

It is important to talk to NPCs. They help to guide you around and tell you what is going on. Each NPC will have more than one thing to tell you. Check back with previous NPCs as you grow stronger for more advise!

Notifications Tab?

Pay attention to the Notification Tab as it tells you what's going on with your character. Different types of notifications are color coded. Some example notifications:

"You are being attacked!"
"You are hungry."
"You got a shiny shield from the beetle."

Can I create multiple characters?

Sure. Please note. A valid unique email address is required to create an account. Each account has an email associated with it. You can play multiple characters in different tabs of the same browser, different browsers, and different devices. Playing multiple characters at the same time can also help with the group bonus!
